Why Join Our Lab?
We provide a collaborative, inclusive environment where researchers develop cutting-edge skills in computational biology, molecular ecology, and biodiversity science. Our team publishes in top-tier journals, presents at international conferences, and contributes directly to conservation efforts in northeastern Brazil.
What We Offer
Access to modern molecular biology equipment, next-generation sequencing platforms, and high-performance computing resources.
Comprehensive training in molecular techniques, bioinformatics analysis, statistical modeling, and scientific communication.
Participate in field expeditions to unique ecosystems including Caatinga, Cerrado, and coastal environments.
Work with national and international collaborators, including partnerships with leading research institutions worldwide.
Open Positions
Postdoctoral Researchers
We welcome applications from postdoctoral candidates with expertise in computational biology, molecular ecology, genomics, or related fields. Positions typically include competitive salary, research budget, and opportunities for independent project development.
Requirements: PhD in relevant field, strong publication record, programming skills (Python/R), experience with genomic data analysis.
Apply NowPhD Students
PhD positions are available for highly motivated students interested in biodiversity genomics, conservation genetics, or computational ecology. Students receive full scholarship support and opportunities for international research stays.
Requirements: Master's degree in biological sciences or related field, basic bioinformatics skills, strong academic record, research experience.
Apply NowMaster's Students
Master's positions are open for students passionate about molecular biology, biodiversity informatics, or environmental genomics. Projects align with ongoing research themes and provide comprehensive training in both laboratory and computational methods.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in biology, biotechnology, computer science, or related field. Background in molecular biology or programming preferred.
Apply NowUndergraduate Researchers
Undergraduate research positions provide hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques, field ecology, data analysis, or software development. Students work closely with graduate students and faculty on active research projects.
Requirements: Enrolled in undergraduate program at UFPI or partner institution. Strong academic performance, enthusiasm for research, commitment of 12-20 hours per week.
